Are Samsung 3D Glasses SSG-2200AR As Good As Blick Compatible 3D Glasses?

If you're looking for Samsung SSG-2200AR 3D glasses and also wanted to see if a compatible 3D pair permeates the internet, then this article will reveal the new Blick 3d Glasses and let you understand the difference between the Samsung 3D glasses.

Both the Samsung and Blick use active shutter technology.

Not sure what active shutter means?

Active shutter means the lens on the 3D glasses closes and opens at a very rapid rate. Most viewers can't tell the lens is opening and closing it happens so fast. Most Samsung and Blick 3D glasses use active shutter technology and this also means the glasses are powered by a battery.

One key feature which separates these two 3D glasses are the lens size. The Samsung SSG-2200AR 3D lens is only 20.37 centimeters squared, which the Blick 3D glasses have a larger size at 21.93 centimeters squared.

Obviously a larger lens area equates to a bigger view without the threat of the frames interfering with your picture.

The Blick 3D glasses have something called Active Sync Smart Technology. Which means they don't require any programming. You just turn them on and they sync automatically with the television emitter. While the Samsung 3D glasses do require some minor programming.

Both glasses need to be powered and come with rechargeable batteries, the power is required for the active shutter technology. The average run time is around 30 hours per charge, though the Blick seems to last around ten hours longer.

And the biggest benefit which really separates these two 3D glasses are their fit with prescription glasses. The Samsung SSG-2200AR fit over prescription glasses as do the Blick 3D glasses. Only Blick was designed by a famous eye wear maker and they designed their 3D glasses to blend with prescription glasses and fit better.

As you can see both are slightly different and will work with Samsung DLP televisions. What we've discovered is the flexibility of the Blick 3D glasses.

Let's say your friends call you over and asks if you want to come over and watch a 3D game at his house on his new Sony. Your Samsung 3D glasses won't work and you will either have to borrow a pair or hope he has an extra pair. While the Blick 3D glasses actually work with most 3D televisions and automatically sync with them.

So in conclusion, if you want more flexibility in your 3D glasses and a more comfortable fit with prescription glasses, then Blick might be the right choice for you.

If you don't have to worry about prescription lenses and don't mind a smaller lens than the Samsung 3D SSG-2200AR can be another option.

Why not take a look and compare them side by side. Go and read Samsung SSG-2200AR Review and see how they compare with compatible 3D glasses.
