Many People in at least the past ten years have learned to use multimedia devices and were educated to use the World Wide Web. The world market has become more dynamic and was able to evolve to a certain state that developed an utter reliance to this global technology. They not only have a back-up plan B, but have plans C, D and maybe even E. You can even send you data encrypted or have the company encrypt it even before it reaches their serves.
What many companies don't have a vested interest in is your data itself. They want to be able to protect it and ensure you always have access to it, but they could really care less about what data you store and send through their cloud servers. Even if you use company money to buy tickets to a baseball game in San Diego, cloud computing companies wouldn't really know or care to know about it. And, if you're really paranoid about security, there is such a thing as a private cloud, which means you don't share resources with other companies and you can even manage it yourself, in-house.
Is it worth the switch from regular servers?
Cloud technology is not the cure-all for everything that ails business today. However, while the cloud technology continues to advance, soon it will be the only affordable option for many businesses. After all any business that needs its email services and hosted platforms active 24 hours a day, 365 days as year - needs the resilience that a cloud infrastructure can offer. The nearest technology businesses had up until recently was clustered servers will automatic fall back facilities.
Cloud computing however does this in a much more elegant and seamless way meaning businesses will have to start considering it or they will miss a great opportunity.
