Thoughts on CompTIA Networking Technical Support Interactive Courses

In the UK today, industry couldn't function properly without assistance from support workers solving problems with PC's and networks, while giving advice to users on a constant basis. The need for such qualified and commercially astute individuals is ever increasing, as industry becomes significantly more computer dependent.

It would be wonderful to believe that our jobs will remain safe and our work futures are protected, but the likely scenario for most sectors around the United Kingdom right now seems to be that there is no security anymore. When we come across rising skills shortages together with growing demand of course, we almost always discover a new kind of market-security; as fuelled by the constant growth conditions, organisations struggle to find enough staff.

The computing Industry skills shortage throughout the country is standing at just over 26 percent, as shown by the most recent e-Skills study. Or, to put it differently, this clearly demonstrates that Great Britain can only find 3 certified professionals for every four jobs that are available currently. This disturbing notion reveals the requirement for more commercially qualified Information Technology professionals across Great Britain. Surely, now really is such a perfect time to train for the computer industry.

Beginning with the understanding that it makes sense to locate the market that sounds most inviting first, before we can chew over what career development program ticks the right boxes, how do we decide on the correct route? Consequently, if you've got no experience in the IT industry, how can you expect to know what someone in a particular field actually does day-to-day? And of course decide on which accreditation path will be most suitable for you to get there. Contemplation on these factors is required when you want to discover a solution that suits you:

* Your individual personality and interests - what work-oriented areas you love or hate.

* What is the time-frame for your training?

* What are your thoughts on travelling time and locality vs salary?

* Considering all that IT encompasses, it's a requirement that you can absorb what's different.

* You'll also need to think hard about what kind of effort and commitment you'll put into your education.

For the average person, sifting through so much data requires a good chat with someone who knows what they're talking about. And not just the qualifications - you also need to understand the commercial expectations and needs also. Take a look at CompTIA Networking Support Courses for current tips.

If an advisor doesn't question you thoroughly - chances are they're really a salesperson. If someone pushes specific products before getting to know your background and current experience level, then it's definitely the case. Remember, if you've had any relevant accreditation or direct-experience, then you can sometimes expect to start at a different point than a student who's starting from scratch. Commencing with a foundation module first is often the best way to get up and running on your IT studies, depending on your skill level at the moment.

Thoughts on iPad 2 and Smartphone Protection in 2012

If you've bought a fancy new tablet or smart phone, the chances are it has either cost you a substantial sum up front, or you'll be paying for it every month for the next two years.

Given the investment, it is highly likely that you'll want to keep it shiny and new for as long as is feasibly possible.

As smartphones have become more popular, there has been an increasing need to help protect these devices. The sheer complexity of these gadgets means that an awful lot of fragile components need to be squeezed into the smallest space possible, whilst making them durable enough to survive life's little knocks and drops.

Naturally, manufacturers' have had to consider one of the most fragile parts of their devices, the screen. Smartphone designs have featured increasingly large screens which eventually grew to cover the entire face of today's devices. The introduction of touch screen controls eliminated the need for conventional buttons, save for some volume control and power buttons on the edges, so these screens had to also be able to stand up to regular contact.

These screens then, needed to be made of a material that had all the properties of glass, but needed to be thinner and more durable. For a time, many early smartphones featured plastic screens that were prone to scratching; and so increasing handset returns as a result of damage gave some models a reputation for poor build quality which had begun to affect some brands. Then, Corning re-engineered an old product from 1962 called ChemCor, so that it was suitable for use in mobile devices. This product resulted in a glass that was substantially thinner, but equally durable, making phones much more resilient to day-to-day damage and wear and tear whilst allowing the designers greater flexibility over phone weight and aesthetics.

Naturally, smartphone and tablet protection can still be improved. Many keen eyed mobile phone accessory providers found that they could provide new cases to cater for the likes of Apple's iPad 2 and the latest glass fronted HD smartphones with slip on covers. These add further protection to avoid cosmetic scratches and dust. Some popular tablet and iPad 2 Cases feature stands and other useful additions that make media consumption easier.

Recent innovations however, have brought about a slew of new protective technologies. Corning has announced Gorilla Glass 2, which they claim will be 20% lighter than their existing offering, which can be found in 20% of all current smartphones. Other companies are promising device waterproofing, through the application of a spray that seals electronics during manufacture. Many are skeptical, but if they reach a deal with any of the big manufacturers, we could see devices that actually last the length of their contracts, braving heavy rains and the occasional, unintentional swim in the bath.

As protective technologies continue to improve, it may not be long before we're snapping underwater holiday photos on our phones. There are however, aftersales accessories that promise similar protection, such air tight gadget bags and holders, so you can attach your iPad safely to your bathroom wall and watch a film; or in an instance I've previously seen, a mount used in boats that shields the chosen device from the elements, allowing you to use its onboard GPS as a back-up navigational instrument.

Until our devices become completely infallible however, you may want to take out some personal electronics insurance... Just in case.
